ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-- The chilly, wet and windy weather had an impact on the Chelsea versus Manchester City soccer match at Busch Stadium, and it had an impact on the 74th Senior PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club.

Fans at the soccer match said the weather may impact how players are able to move on the field.

"It can make it slippery, but everyone knows the best soccer is played in the mud," one fan said.

Players at the PGA Senior Championship had to deal with steady drizzle for part of the day.

"It is just another thing to think about when you are competing," Rick Karbowski said. "Keeping your glove and club dry and how the greens respond to the rain are big things to think about."

However, the grounds crew is spending a significant amount of time making sure the course is in good shape, according to Senior PGA officials.

They expect the course to be great by tee time Friday. They added that the rain has not and is not expected to cause any delays in play.

Fans at Busch Stadium also said they do not expect the weather to cause any delays in the soccer game.
