(KPLR) – May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and a little known prevention fact is that people are getting wrinkles, age spots and even skin cancer through the glass in car windows, office windows etc.

Mark Gershenson, Llumar Global Brand Manager, explained to Christine Buck the rays that come through glass don’t cause sunburn or blistering, just deep long term damage.

New studies show people have more damage on the left side of their bodies from sitting in the car for years from UVA rays coming through the glass.   Most people don’t have a clue this is happening.

An easy fix is to install window film in a car or home, which blocks all the bad stuff.
