MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. (KPLR) - People were enjoying the great weather Tuesday afternoon in a lot of different ways.

Some went to their favorite business in West Port Plaza.

It was filled with people wearing shorts and sunglasses.

Many of them said the great weather was a surprise.

The weather is also great for businesses that thrive in warm weather.

David Greer owns a Dairy Queen in Maryland Heights.

"This is really our time of the year to do great things,” he said. "People come here year round, but the warm weather means ice cream."

Greer said he hopes the great weather lasts.

"I really hope this is the direction things are going," he said. "We need some good weather like this."
