ST. LOUIS, MO. (KPLR) – St. Louis police have arrested a robbery suspect, with the help of an app.  It’s alleged that the suspect, Steven M. Payne, broke into a hotel room occupied by two victims on Sunday, April 28th.  The victims have told the police that they were in their hotel room between 7:00 am to 9:00 am, when they think the burglary occurred.

Both victims awoke to find their mobile phones, 2 credit cards and $80 in cash stolen.

Police say they have security footage of the suspect coming out of two stores after using one of the stolen credit cards.

They were able to track the suspect by using the app “find my iPhone” on one of the victims mobile phone.

That app lead police to the suspects apartment; upon interviewing the suspect, police called the mobile phones and both rang in the suspect’s apartment.  The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with 8 counts related to the burglary.
