St. Louis, MO (KPLR)  The US Congress is expected to pass a bill that would tax your flu shots. It would be a 75 cents tax per shot. The money is intended to go to the vaccine injury trust fund. It provides compensation to people injured by a vaccine. However, that fund already has $3.5 billion. The bill also states any money not used to pay off claims will be invested in US treasury securities, possibly going to pay off the national debt.
