Rookie TV Anchor Fired For Cursing First Time On-Air

BISMARCK, ND (KTVI) – A rookie reporter who debuted on the anchor desk over the weekend started off on the wrong foot.  He apparently did not know the microphone was on and the first words out of his mouth were profanity.

AJ Clemente’s debut on NBC affiliate KFYR-TV has now gone viral.

He was nervous about going on air according to a tweet before the show:

Afterward, he was brief:

He got lots of replies of support and “it’ll get better” and “better luck next time”.

But management apparently felt the slip of the tongue was more serious.
