Precautionary Boil Order For South St. Louis

(KPLR) – The St. Louis City Water Department has ordered a precautionary boil order for part of south St. Louis City.  The order is in effect till at least Tuesday afternoon.  The reason for the boil order is so that water department crews can finish working on a 12-inch water main break on Jamieson and Westwary Road.

The city expects to have the repairs completed Tuesday, along with bacteria results back.

The area affected is:
South of Arsenal
West of Hampton
North of Eichelberger
East of River Des Peres

As result of the boil order, St. Gabriel School on Tamm will be closed Tuesday.
