Major Case Squad Asks Public For Help Solving Overland Murder

OVERLAND, MO (KPLR) - The Major Case Squad has been activated to help track down several murder suspects.

Around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Zachariah Andersona, 22, was shot and killed on Iveland and Sims in Overland.  Police believe as many as six people may have been involved in the shooting. They fled on foot after the victim was shot.

Police spotted several suspects about 15 minutes later near Page and Dielman.

Canines, helicopters and officers searched the area and even stopped several cars as they looked for the suspects.

The Major Case Squad was activated around midnight. About 20 officers are working the case Monday.

Police say two of the suspects were wearing distinctive coats (see below). They are sharing the descriptions of those garments to see if anyone recognizes them.
