FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL (KTVI)  – The Schnucks grocery store in Fairview Heights, Illinois is voluntarily recalling ground beef sold on Sunday, April 21 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The store is located at 625 Lincoln Highway.  A spokesperson for Schnucks says the recall is being done as a precaution because pieces of black display paper may have made its way into the grind.

The recall includes all pre-packaged ground sirloin, ground round and ground chuck  with an April 22, 2013 Sell-By date.

Ground beef from the service case is not included in this recall.  Anyone who purchased the recall meat can return it to the Fairview Heights Schnucks for a full refund.

Anyone with questions should contact Schnucks Consumer Affairs at 314-994-4400 or 1-800-264-4400.
