Group Rallies For Gun Control Downtown

DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-Local members of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America joined with area officials take a stand Saturday as they pushed the need for gun control. The St. Louis chapter of the group sponsored the rally in Kiener Plaza. Among the officials taking part were St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay and Metropolitan St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson.

The organization started after the deadly Sandy Hook Elementary shooting  in Newtown, Connecticut to focus attention on the need for tougher gun control measures.

Moms Demand Action has grown to 80 chapters across the country with about 80,000 members.
