Townsend Given Maximum Sentence In Knock Out Game

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A St. Louis man received the maximum one year sentence for a knock out attack in the Central West End last year.

Edward Townsend pleaded guilty to the May 2012 attack.  The victim ran away screaming for help.

Police saw several people run from the area. All were arrested and the victim  identified  Townsend.  More than 20 letters from Central West End residents were sent to the judge asking for the maximum penalty and the judge agreed.
