KANSAS CITY, MO (WDAF) — A dog, apparently thrown from an overpass last week, needs expensive surgery to recover. A group of people is now trying to come up with the money to save her life.

Kansas City Animal Rescue received the call after two people rescued the German Shepherd-mix dog, now named ‘Lindey‘ on Thursday. The couple had been at a horse show at Hale Arena at the American Royal and saw the dog lying nearby, severely injured.

Someone told them the dog had come flying over the 23rd Street viaduct overpass a few minutes before.
