“Same Sex” Benefits Debate Being Argued In Missouri Supreme Court

(KTVI) – A battle over benefits for same sex couples is in the Missouri Supreme Court.  Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper Corporal Dennis Engelhard died in the line of duty on Christmas Day 2009.

His life partner of 15 years, Kelly Glossip, was denied survivor benefits from the state. The ACLU is in court Wednesday arguing same-sex partners should receive the same benefits as other spouses.
