Dyanthany Proudie Charged With Killing Ebony Jackson

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The St. Louis Prosecuting Attorney just announced murder charges against Dyanthany Proudie in the Ebony Jackson case.

Charges came just about two hours after St. Louis police presented evidence to the prosecutor's office.  Proudie, 40, of the 4100 block of Ashland Ave. is charged with First Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action.

Jackson's body was found in the trunk of a car after her infant child was discovered abandoned inside an apartment complex.

According to the probable cause statement released by the prosecutor's office, Proudie and Jackson were acquaintances and reconnected when Jackson came back to town with her son.

Authorities said Jackson went to the bathroom to take a bath. While she was preparing the tub, Proudie allegedly shot her one time in the head inside his home in the 4100 block of Ashland then put her body in the trunk of her car.

Authorities also say Proudie left Jackson's infant son in the Breckenridge Hills apartment complex where his estranged wife lived.

The baby was later found by an apartment complex resident.
