(KPLR) – One in 88 children is diagnosed with autism, but some children get diagnoses earlier than others.
In Missouri African American children get diagnosed on average, about a year later than Caucasian children.
The exact reasons for it are not k now, but some believe education and awareness are an issue.
This week on the Pulse of St. Louis, we take a closer look at autism.
