Snow & Sleet Push East; Roads Messy

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - There is a Winter Storm Warning until midnight in the St. Louis metro area.  The forecast for this evening is for snow and sleet with a 1" - 4" accumulation in the metropolitan area.  There will be sleet and freezing rain briefly, more south with a .1" - .2" glaze.  

More ice will freeze southwest Missouri.  Springfield will get a .3" - .5" glazing.  Snow will fall west and northwest with accumulations of over eight inches in Columbia, Kansas City and Kirksville.

Overnight:  Snow & Sleet & Icy Mix south taper early evening.  1" to 2"  additional snow possible  for metro St. Louis.  Storm totals 3" to 6" for NW Metro STL and SE Metro 1" to 4".
