Man Killed In North St. Louis Crash

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - St. Louis police say a man was killed early Wednesday morning when a car lost control and struck a traffic control box.

Police say the accident happened around 6:00am when the car was driving at a high rate of speed south on Salisbury. The car hit the traffic control box at the intersection with Natural Bridge in north St. Louis.

Police the black male driver in his 30s was transported to an area hospital in critical condition where he was pronounced dead.

The black female passenger in her 30s was also transported to an area hospital in critical/stable condition.

Names of the victims have not been released. No other information about the accident has been released.
