Suspicious Fires In Washington Park, IL

WASHINGTON PARK, IL (KTVI) – A pair of fires a few hours apart in Washington Park, IL have investigators calling them suspicious.

Around 1:30 a.m., firefighters were called to a garage fire on North 58th at Forest Boulevard.  By the time they arrived, the fire had spread to some trash in the field behind the garage, which threatened a nearby building.

While fighting that fire, crews found another home fully involved a few blocks away at 61st and Forest. They managed to contain both fires.  There are no reported injuries.
