(KPLR) – Nobody likes over-zealous police work.  Here's JB with The Way It Oughta Be.

I recently reported on a traffic stop resulting in the seizure of more than a million and a half dollars of suspected drug money.

The suspect is a 62 year old woman.  Not exactly the type of profile you might connect with money laundering.

I know police come under fire at times, accused of profiling.  In this case the woman had Arizona plates.  Maybe that drew suspicion. Police say she crossed a white line and had an illegal license plate cover.

Whatever the reason, the money is now seized and could eventually be used by police and prosecutors to fund crime fighting efforts.

If we blame officers for profiling we should also give praise when police do it right.
