Former Ill. Governor George Ryan Released from Prison

(KTVI) - Former Illinois governor George Ryan was released from prison early Wednesday morning.  Ryan served more than five years in an Indiana federal prison for corruption while he was Secretary of State and Governor.

He's expected to spend the next few weeks at a halfway house in Chicago. After that, Ryan will return to his home in Kankakee, south of Chicago.  Ryan's wife and brother passed away while he was behind bars.
