Ballpark Village Groundbreaking Ceremony Next Friday

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – There will be a groundbreaking ceremony for Ballpark Village on Friday, February 8th at 11am.  According to a press release, the St. Louis Cardinals and Cordish Companies have closed financing for the first phase of construction on Wednesday.

The first phase of construction will cost $100 million and should be up for Opening Day 2014. The 100,000 square feet of retail and office space will will be anchored  Cardinals Nation, Budweiser Brew House, and Live! at Ballpark Village.  It will be located along Clark Street next to Busch Stadium.

The entire Ballpark Village project is estimated to cost approximately $550 million.  It will include retail, office and commercial space and span 10 acres North of the stadium.
