NEW YORK, NY. (KPLR) – There was a lot of news thurdasdy, but Larry Mendte says one big story got lost in all the clutter.

In between the story of Lance Armstrong’s mediocre mea culpa and the great news that Manti Te`o`s girlfriend didn`t die because she never really existed, something important was announced.

Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton will testify in front of a house committee investigating the terrorist attack in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9/11.

It gets a little sickening that every time someone reports on that story they immediately talk about how it will effect Hillary’s chances in 2016.

Barack Obama hasn`t even been inaugurated yet and we are already on the countdown to Hillary’s 2016 campaign.

But in the house investigation there are a few people more important than even Hillary.

They are Ambassador Christopher Stevens, security officer Sean Smith and Navy Seals Ty Woods and Glenn Doherty.

The four Americans killed in the terrorist attack despite asking for help over and over again.

The attacks have already been investigated by the senate and by an independent commission and both released report blasting the state department`s leadership.

That would be Hillary, who has not been able to testify because of health problems.  She, is scheduled to step down, but the senate won`t confirm a new Secretary of State until she answers questions.

There are so many questions that need to be answered including why the Benghazi terrorists have not been caught yet.  Hillary Clinton promised they would be brought to justice.  There is drone video of the attack.  Why no arrests in Libya our supposed ally.

Wednesday`s testimony will be a big deal, but please let`s not concentrate on Hillary’s future, but on the future that was taken from them.
