SOUTH ST. LOUIS, COUNTY, MO. (KTVI) – South County’s Mehlville School District voted Thursday night to add more armed police officers for school security.  The move comes as the Obama administration is considering asking for federal money to help pay for school police officers.

Mehlville High School already has a full-time armed county school resource officer at the school.

Now, four more county police officers will be used, on part-time bases, to provide security at elementary schools.
