First Autistic Miss America Contestant From Montana (VIDEO)

(FOX News) – Alexis Wineman will make history on Saturday night.  She will be the first autistic contestant to ever participate in the Miss America pageant.

The 18-year-old will also be 2013’s youngest contestant.  According to FOX News Wineman was diagnosed with the condition when she was eleven years old.

She says she is used to living with very mild symptoms.  But, she sometimes has trouble communicating and often takes things to  literally.
