FLORISSANT, MO (KTVI) – An overnight fire forced several families to leave their homes. The fire broke out around 2 a.m. at a Florissant apartment building.
When crews arrived at the building on Mescalero and Mendocina, they found fire in a bedroom of a first-floor unit. They were able to knock down the flames in about 15 minutes.
No one was hurt but the Red Cross was called to assist a family with food, shelter and clothing. The 12-unit building had eight people inside. Most of the residents did have some place to go.
