DE SOTO, MO (KTVI)-- There were school threats at several Jefferson County schools Thursday.

Police were in the De Soto School District buildings after the school received a threat there. School is not in session Friday.

And in the Festus School District, police will be on hand there Friday.

The district in a letter to parents says non specific threats on social media and concern about Friday's doomsday prediction caused them to request a larger police presence Friday.
