ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Family, friends and first responders prepare to say goodbye to Jeffrey Hudson.  The 'goodbyes' began Monday at the Grandberry Mortuary in Jennings.

Hudson's brothers and sisters from the fire department filed in next to family for his visitation. The firefighter was in his bunk after an early-morning run last Wednesday. This was at Engine House 36 on South Kingshighway and Christy in South St. Louis. Hudson never woke up.

His funeral service begins at 10 a.m. at Kennerly Temple, 4307 Kennerly in North St. Louis. He will be buried at Bellefontaine Cemetery on West Florissant.

The fire department plans to have several trucks along the route on Natural Bridge.
