(KPLR) – A possible tax to improve the Archgrounds along with other parks and trails went before an important city committee Thursday.  The St. Louis Aldermanic Parks Committee heard the pitch for Proposition 'P.'

Prop. 'P' would raise the sales tax in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County by two cents for every ten dollars spent if voters approve it.

The increase would run for at least 20 years and would generate $11.5 million dollars annually for improvements around the arch.
