Passenger, 2 Flights Attendants Injured on U.S. Airway Flight

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Just after 9:20 pm, US Airways Flight 1667, from Charlotte, NC. landed at Lambert Airport after encountering heavy turbulence just outside Nashville, TN.  One passenger said the turbulence caused one attendant to hit his head on the ceiling, a female attendant fell to the floor of the cabin, while drinks spilled everywhere and seat cushions flying around the cabin.  

The passenger also stated that the captain of the plane, told passenger the plane had experienced a 2,000 foot drop altitude in just a matter of seconds.

Medical crews met the flight at the gate, boarding the plane asking passenger if they needed medical assistance.

One passenger was transported to a local hospital.
