(KPLR) - The violence in Syria is escalating and NATO is adding to its arsenal in the area.  NATO gave the go ahead to send Patriot Missile Systems to southern Turkey to defend itself from possible strikes from Syria.

In Syria, a mortar hit a school killing 29 students and a teacher.

The state run news blamed rebels who are trying to topple the government.

And there is also new intelligence that points to Syria having chemical weapons.
