CHICAGO (AP/KTVI) Powerball officials said early Thursday that tickets sold in Arizona and Missouri matched all six numbers to win the record $579.9 million jackpot.

The numbers drawn Wednesday night are: 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and Powerball of 6.

One of two winning Powerball Jackpot tickets was sold at the Trex Mart in Dearborn, Missouri.

That is at 17605 Highway Z, about 45 miles north of Kansas City, Missouri. Missouri Lottery officials made the announcement just after 10 a.m. Thursday.  But earlier in the morning, St. Louis officials watched their website struggle to carry the load of 1.7 million hits a minute.

“So, our phones are going off the hook.  It`s been crazy,” said Missouri Lottery’s Stephanie Muldrow.  “But, it`s a good, fun crazy because you’re giving out information that someone in Missouri won, actually won.”

The other winning ticket was sold in Arizona.  Muldrow shook her head, trying to figure out how many Christmas presents $192.5-million would buy.  That is the cash payout for each winner of the record $587.5-million jackpot.  The Trex Mart staff gets a bonus of $50,000.

Now everyone now knows where the Missouri ticket was sold.  But, who is the winning customer or customers?  In Missouri, winners can set up a blind trust for their winnings.  So, we may never know who bought that golden ticket.
