(KTVI) - The President of Cardinals Glennon Children's Medical Center spent the morning on the roof of the hospital for a good cause. Sheryln Hailstone was there with a bullhorn challenging doctors, nurses, and even drivers to support several programs that help patients and their families.
Last year, it took two weeks to get pledges from 350 employees. With Hailstone's bullhorn, it only took five hours to double that number.
Hailstone was prepared to sleep on the roof. She avoided that, but held a meeting there. Last year, the Hospital raised about $50,000. Hailstone expects the hospital to raise $100,000 this year.
