SPRINGFIELD, MO (YOUTUBE) – A Springfield pastor’s speech to the City council has just passed 2 million views on YouTube.  In August Rev. Dr. Phil Snider of Brentwood Christian Church read some notes during a public hearing on amending the city’s nondiscrimination ordinance to include sexual orientation.

He explains to the council that they are “inviting the judgement of God upon our land”.  He says the “end of days” is near.

Then he explains that he must have misplaced his notes.  He borrowed his arguments from the last century.  He had been reading notes from white preachers from the 1950s and 1960s in support of racial segregation.  All he did was replace the words “racial-integration” with “gay rights”.

He goes on to say that the arguments he had been hearing lately were so similar that he got them confused.
