Gangnam Style Lifeguards Rehired

(YOUTUBE)  – Lifeguards fired for a parody of the viral Gangnam Style video have gotten their jobs back. The El Monte City Council in California voted to rehire the workers.   The lifeguards will be facing a review when they get rehired.

Korean rapper PSY’s “Gangnam Style” has been parodied by YouTube users across the world.  The lifeguard’s parody showed lifeguards in city-issued swimsuits dancing underwater and on diving boards at the Aquatic Center.

Officials say the workers were using city property improperly.   The lifeguards say they were off the clock when they made the spoof.
