(KPLR) – A big St. Louis baseball anniversary is coming up this weekend.  Here's JB with The Way It Oughta Be.

Saturday marks the 30th anniversary of the Cardinals winning the World Series in 1982.

That's right, Saturday.

This year the final game of the World Series is scheduled for November.  I thought baseball was a summer sport.

I think its great Major League Baseball has found a way to add excitement to the post season with the Wild Card and now a one-game play in.

But I don't think we need 162 regular season games anymore.

I remember it was cold at the old Busch Stadium in '82.  I can't imagine what the weather is like in Detroit in November.

So I hope the Cardinals win the next 2 and the World Series is in our future.  If that's the case, let's win 4 in a row so Baseball ends before Halloween does.

I'm JB and that's The Way It Oughta Be.
