ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – The Cardinals battle for the NLCS while a boy from Kentucky is fighting cancer. Lane Goodwin is a big St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. One of his last wishes is to meet the team.

The thirteen year old is inspiring people from all walks of life to post their support to their favorite social network with the hash-tag #ThumbsUpForLane. The facebook group Cardinals Visit Lane Goodwin hopes the buzz will help convince the Cardinals to spend some time with Lane.

During the game 2 of the NLDS at Busch Stadium on Monday night many fans were brandishing signs saying, #ThumbsUpForLane.

Fredbird took a #ThumbsUpForLane photo and posted it to twitter. Lane is still waiting to hear from the Cardinals.
