(KPLR) - This week on "The Pulse of St. Louis," a look at the troubled Normandy School District and their strategy for regaining state accreditation.

The Missouri State Board Of Education voted unanimously last month to reduce the district's status, from provisionally accredited, to unaccredited after it failed to meet key academic standards.

The district has two years to make major improvements, but administrators are already working on plans to ensure their students have a chance to excel in the classroom.
