(KPLR) - We're inviting you to "shred it to fix it" event where you can recycle electronics and all that stuff stuffed into your closets and it all for free.

Laura Musler, business manager of Rebuilding Together St. Louis explains how Rebuilding Together provides free home repairs for elderly and low income homeowners in need.

For just $5 donation per box, all manner of cardboard and paper will be shredded and recycled.

They are also accepting:

  • All Computers, TVs - monitors and screens must be whole
  • Appliances
  • Anything that has any metal at all in it or runs off a battery
  • Batteries
