Parents On Edge After Sexual Assaults In West County

WEST ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO. (KPLR) – Residents in West County are on edge after an 18-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.

It happened near the intersection of Bennington Place and Fee Fee Road Wednesday.

Lisa Ritchie said she called police and asked them to increase patrols in the area after her daughter was approached by a strange man last month.

"He tried to lure my 14-year-old in his car," she said. "I tried to get more police in this area."

Police have increased patrols in the area since the sexual assault.

The suspect is still on the loose.

He is described as a heavy set Hispanic male in his 40s. He has side burns and is about 5' 8" and 190 lbs.
