Berntal – An Apple Is Still An Apple

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - I couldn't help but catch a recent headline that said organic food is no healthier than food that's not organic.

I think organic has become alot more popular than it once was.

These neighborhood gardens are growing in popularity and it just seems to make sense that natural is better.

I'm not surprised by the recent study .. Because an apple is an apple no matter how it's grown.

One a day should still help keep the doctor away.

What was missing from the study was whether there are any different health risks associated with non-organic food.

That's what consumers want to know.

Paragraphs into the article I read quoted one doctor saying he would not buy fruit treated with pesticides to his kids.

That did not make it into the headline.

The bottom line is food choices have turned into politics.  We seem to only listen to the side of the argument we agree with.

And that's not a good thing.

I'm JB and that's the way it oughta be.
