SHREWSBURY, MO (KPLR) - Chico and Jazzman are testing the waters for tonight. The twosome are taking in Shrewsbury's "Paw Party."   One of many municipalities making man's best friend welcome in their city pools.

Shrewsbury expects about 60 dogs swimming and shaking off the water tonight between 6-8pm. The cost is just $10 for your barker.
"Helps pay for the lifeguard that's here that night and the city staff but it's just more of a fun.  It's not a huge money maker just more of a fun thing for the residents and non residents.  Cause you don't have to be a member of Shrewsbury pool to participate." said Shrewsbury Recreation Supervisor Lauren Kopp.

You can bring tennis balls to play fetch with Fido and even get in the pool with your pup if you so desire.

In fact, nobody is going to get in the pool after Tuesday's tail waggers get in the water. This pool like other pools in Kirkwood, Chesterfield and Maplewood will make sure there's no Caddy Shack moments with your canine.

While most pools are closed after labor day. Labradors and Llasa Apso's can growl with glee at least for one night. Just remember, no diving; Unless you're getting the ball.
