(KPLR) - It's a holiday to recognize the workers.  Yet the topic of unions can lead to heated arguments.  Here's JB with The Way It Oughta Be.

I brought my chair to this working class neighborhood to talk about something that's sure to start an argument at the local bar.

Some people love unions, some people hate unions.

Here's the thing.  There are good unions and bad ones.  There are smart unions looking out for the long term well being of their workers and there are short sighted unions looking out only for today.

The biggest complaint I hear from union haters is they feel a union protects the incompetent.

The biggest complaint I hear from labor leaders is that laborers are doing all the work while someone else is getting rich.

The key to a successful labor management relationship is mutual respect.  Both sides need to appreciate where the other side is coming from.

I'm JB and that's The Way It Oughta Be.
