Traffic Stop Leads To $800,000 Cocaine Bust

PIERRON, IL (KPLR) - A Traffic stop along interstate 70 in Madison county ends in a major cocaine bust for  Illinois State Police. The stop was made Wednesday morning near  Pierron, Illinois. AN  ISP trooper stopped a white SUV for speeding. He became suspicious and called in a K-9 unit.

The dog discovered over 17-pounds of cocaine worth nearly $800,000 on the street.

Darrally Smooth, 24 and Kenyon Walton, 24 both of Cincinnati, were taken into custody.  Federal drug trafficking charges are  expected.
