ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - The recent outbreak of crime has been downright bone chilling.  We're so accustomed to violent crime being something between people who know each other.

Disputes among thieves. But when women leaving Busch Stadium are targeted or a shopper parked on a Brentwood parking lot, well that gets our attention.   It's a frightening reminder what police already know and that is crime can happen anywhere, anytime.

I think fears were higher before the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Chief announced several of these violent attacks are connected to the same group.

That news seemed to settle nerves just a bit.

The only good news from all of this is that it's helped everyone to be more conscious of their surroundings.

You don't have to live in fear but it's a good idea to be prepared.

I'm JB and that's the way it oughta be.
