ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – I brought my chair to this basketball court because there was once a time when I dreamed about being able to slam dunk.

I’ve given up on my dreams but if I want to feel like a pro maybe Lebron James’ new 300 dollar shoe will do the trick.

That’s right, Nike is beefing up security because the company expects a mad rush for the limited number 300 dollar shoes the company will be releasing.

The company is getting criticism for marketing a 300 dollar shoe to a crowd some say can Ill afford to waste any money.

There are also concerns the shoe might even prompt violence.

I’m not going to tell Nike what it should do but I can tell anyone thinking about spending 300 dollars on a pair of shoes to think about other ways to use that money.

There are plenty of charities helping families who struggle to buy regular shoes for their own families.

And if you think I could reach the rim if I bought the 300 dollar shoes, well that’s ridonkulous.

I won’t be buying them.

I’m JB and that’s the way it oughta be.
