SAN FRANCISCIO, CA. (CNN) – Google has a new gadget: virtual reality glasses.  The eye-wear made its debut at the company’s technology conference in San Francisco Wednesday.  Conference-goers witnessed a parachute team, B-M-X bikers and a rapeller–all in action–wearing the glasses.

The product has a speaker, camera and multiple microphones.

But the 15-hundred-dollar glasses aren’t available to purchase just yet.   The kinks are still being worked out in the Google-X lab.
Right now, only U.S.-based attendees of the conference will be eligible to buy the “Google Glass Explorer Edition.”

Those who want the glasses can pre-order today and will get the gadget early next year
