(KPLR) - It's been a hot dry week and it seems the weather could dampen 4th of July Fireworks displays.
I brought my chair to this dried out patch of grass to give you an idea how dry conditions are.
In fact some fire chiefs are calling their town's mayors and recommending their city call off this year’s fireworks displays.
That's a decision beyond my control.
But what I hope we're not covering any 4th of July fire disasters.
It seems whenever there's a fire from fireworks it's never in the yard of the person who set them off.
It's always the poor retired guy next door.
So this year please heed any warnings about this dry weather and if you plan on shooting off any fireworks, make sure they land in your yard.
I'm JB and that's The Way It Oughta Be.
