East St. Louis School Board Blocks State Removal

EAST. ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – A dramatic new development in the state of the East St. Louis School Board Member’s jobs. A St. Clair County Judge has approved a temporary restraining order blocking the ouster of the East St. Louis School Board.

On Thursday the Illinois State board of education voted to fire the East St. Louis school board because of troubles in the district.  Today the lawyer for the East St. Louis School board members went to the St. Clair county circuit court to get a temporary restraining order to block the state from throwing them out.  

Friday afternoon a Judge approved that restraining order.  A hearing on the temporary restraining order will held on July 2nd.  

All East St. Louis Board members are a part of the legal action except Carl Officer.
