ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - This is the time of year when you see towels and swimsuits hanging on chairs to dry.  Some neighborhoods have strict rules on drying clothes outside.

Some communities find this type of behavior offensive.  Unmentionables should be kept out of sight.

But there's a movement to bring back the clothes line in the name of energy efficiency.  Here's the great debate ... Should we go back to the day of old and use less energy or do the rules of decorum outweigh political correctness.

If you're not someone all that interested in going green then maybe you will want to save some green.

Leaving the dryer off in the laundry room can save you money.  Some say about $200 a year.

That still might not be worth the time it takes hang out your clothes but it's worth a thought.

I'm JB and that's the way it oughta be.
