O’Fallon Woman Fined For Calling 911 Over Dog

O’FALLON, MO (KPLR) – The O’Fallon, Missouri woman charged with misusing 9-1-1 when she called to report her dog had collapsed, has been fined $100. 

On Easter Sunday, Oreo, a Great Dane that stood 6-feet-4 on its hind legs and weighed 140 pounds, collapsed and died at Rose Lakey’s home. 

Lakey called 911 when she and her husband were unable to move the dog. 

Police said she told them her daughter, not her dog, had collapsed.
